The Lakehead Amateur Club has installed and maintains over the years, six different repeaters and a 900 Mhz full duplex link. The main repeater VE3YQT is located on Mount Baldy, at a height of about 950 feet over the city of Thunder Bay. The equipment consist of a VHF Motorola MSR 2000 repeater with a output of 30 watts from the PA with a Frequency of 147.060 -600 offset. Their are those that ask why a minus offset? This site has been in operation for over 20 years, in the original days their was no such thing as a band plan and this freq. was picked.
